New SONY XDCAM EX PMW EX3 featured in FREE Sony Seminar

Join Sony Broadcast “Independent Certified Expert” Team member Doug Jensen for a comprehensive

three-hour workshop on the Sony XDCAM EX solid-state recording camcorders, featuring Sony’s

latest addition to the XDCAM EX line, the PMW-EX3. The PMW-EX1 will also be covered, along

with the workflow for both camcorders.

The course will be held Friday, September 12th at the Dedham (MA) Holiday Inn,

junction U.S. Route 1 and Route 128 (Exit 15A), from 9 AM till Noon. A complimentary Mini-

Continental breakfast and light luncheon will be served.

An afternoon session from 1:30 PM till 4 PM covers the new Sony HDV camcorders, the HVR-

S270 (shoulder-mount) and HVR-Z7U (portable) camcorders that feature both standard tape and

Solid-state recording. You are cordially invited to attend both sessions if you wish.

Sony “I.C.E.” team specialist Doug Jensen is the owner of Vortex Media, a cameraman, producer, director, editor, consultant and trainer with over 25 years of video production and post-production experience. Jensen combines his extensive production experience with his teaching skills to bring a wide-ranging, real-world perspective to his independent DVD workshops and seminars. As a member of Sony's Independent Certified Experts (I.C.E.) team he has taught high-definition XDCAM classes for Sony at NAB, Japan, Hollywood, New York, Boston, Philadelphia, and Pittsburgh. In the summer of 2007 Sony hired him to shoot demo footage with a pre-production EX1 camcorder, and to operate the camera during field tests conducted by Discovery Communications.In recent years he has directed, and co-produced several popular training DVDs including: "Mastering the Sony PMW-EX1", "Hands On HDV: A Complete Guide to the Z1U and FX1," "A Guide to Shooting with the Sony XDCAM HD F350/F330 Camcorders," and "How to Setup, Light, & Shoot Great Looking Interviews." DVD’s on the Sony PMW-EX3 and the new HDV camcorders, the HVR Z7U and HVR S270U are just being released.

Jensen owns several cameras, including a Sony PMW-EX1, Sony F350 XDCAM HD, Sony HVR-Z7U, Sony HVR-Z1U HDV camcorder, and an Ikegami HL59 Betacam.
